Your vision. Your medicine. Your practice.

You practice medicine.
We help build the business.

Private practice ownership shouldn't require you to become an expert in real estate, construction, finance, technology, recruiting and operations. AVP brings those pieces together around the doctor who will lead the practice.

WHY AVP

Ownership without having to do it alone.

For many accomplished specialists, the barrier to ownership isn't clinical ability. It's everything surrounding it.

Capital

AVP can invest alongside the doctor and help coordinate the capital required to develop the practice.

Expertise

Business experience and a network of professionals help turn clinical vision into an executable plan.

Execution

One coordinated development process brings real estate, buildout, equipment, technology and launch together.

Partnership

You remain the clinical expert. We provide structure, resources and hands-on business support.

BUILT FROM EXPERIENCE

Designed for specialists.
Grounded in a real practice launch.

AVP grew from firsthand experience building a specialty veterinary practice—from site selection and construction through equipment, technology, staffing, referral development and opening.

We learned that the goal isn't simply to open a building. It is to build a practice capable of supporting exceptional medicine, a strong team, a healthy business and a fulfilling life for its owner.

CAPITAL & OWNERSHIP

Making ownership more achievable.

A specialty practice can require substantial investment before meaningful revenue begins. AVP's equity partnership model is designed to help bridge that gap.

You participate in the upside.
We share the risk.

When AVP invests alongside a doctor, our capital is invested in the business too. That creates alignment around disciplined spending, sustainable operations and long-term value.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What specialists usually want to know.

Will AVP control how I practice medicine?

No. AVP focuses on the business and development side. Clinical judgment—including diagnosis, treatment and medical protocols—remains with appropriately licensed veterinary professionals and is subject to applicable law and professional standards.

How much money would I need to invest?

There is no universal amount. Each opportunity is evaluated based on specialty, startup requirement, financing, equipment, facility, working capital and the proposed partnership structure. The investment scale shown here—from $300,000 to $1,200,000, with a $500,000 / $50,000 default—is illustrative only.

Does a 10% cash investment automatically mean I own 10%?

Not necessarily. Cash contribution, ownership, compensation, distributions, future capital obligations and governance rights are separate concepts established in the negotiated agreements.

Can I eventually own more of the practice?

Potentially. Depending on the agreed structure, the parties can establish mechanisms for increased doctor ownership over time, including a possible path toward majority ownership.

What happens after the practice opens?

AVP can remain involved as a hands-on business and strategic partner—supporting performance, growth, systems, vendors, staffing infrastructure and long-term ownership planning.

What if I am only beginning to think about ownership?

That is an appropriate time to talk. You do not need a completed business plan, location or financing package. The first step is understanding the vision and whether the opportunity is worth pursuing.
